CRITICAL PEDAGOGY IS LIBERATORY EDUCATION BUILT ON THE KNOWLEDGES AND REAL-LIFE EXPERIENCES BROUGHT TO A CLASSROOM BY STUDENTS.

THIS COURSE WILL EXPLORE THE INTERSECTION OF CRITICAL PEDAGOGY WITH ARTS EDUCATION TO FIND NEW CREATIVE SOLUTIONS AND TEACHING MODELS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE.

STUDENTS WILL DEVELOP A CURRICULUM AND PEDAGOGICAL TEXT BASED ON THEIR OWN ARTISTIC PRACTICE(S) AND SOCIAL INTERESTS. THE COURSE WILL CULMINATE IN A HANDS-ON WORKSHOP TAUGHT BY EACH PARTICIPANT.
